Hey there. I've been here a few times and it looks like several PA riders are here. I have a dedicated track bike and am ready for next year. I started doing trackdays last year but have been on the street for 25 years. I'm 41 years old so it seems like I got in a little late but I'm doing okay. I've been to Beaver twice and was running steady 08's on my second visit. I also did half a day at Nelson till my engine ate a rod bearing. Loved that place and will def go back. Also looking to do Summit next year. I am currently running "B" with nesba but hopefully that won't be long and I can get in and mix it up with some of you PA guys. I've only done 3-1/2 days so I am really just new to all this but am fully prepped for lots of days next year. My suspension is getting Penskeized at this very moment and I don't know if I'm going to be able to hold it together waiting for spring to come. Anyway, I'll be there gettin' to know some peeps.
Adam

Welcome Adam! A lot of PA guys here indeed but we are growing and getting new 'ho's from across this great land of ours. I picked up track, at least with motorcycles, at 39 so you're not that far off. Actually many of the guys here are in the 30's and 40's and some even in their 60's. All of us united by this track bug of ours. Like Jr. said the PA crew does a lot of time at Beaver, Summit and Nelson. A lot of guys also hitting Mid-O, NJMP, and so on. Big February trip planned for Jennings in FL. - just to get over the winter blues I'm sure you'll cross paths with many of the guys here next year. Watch the who's doing what board for big outtings and join us - just look for the TrackWhores.com stickers in the paddock. BTW, there are plenty of NESBA B guys/gals at trackwhores as well as I and A riders - we even have a resident NESBA CR. Stick around and jones with the rest of us for the winter and we'll see you at the track soon!

Greetings Highwire!! Don't feel bad about your age, I'm a whole lot closer to the big five O than I care to admit. I didn't morph into a track ho until I was about 46. or should it be When were you at Nelson? I think I remember talking with someone who had the same problem, with a gixxer 750 no less.

That happened on June, 20th. It happened about 5 minutes before the end of my last session b4 lunch and the track was just starting to develope some dry spots and I was starting to have some fun and then that baby started hammerin' like mad. But, because I just made the half day mark I was able to get a half refund but this whole summer was shot for me because of the lame-ass mechanic I had rebuild it. He had it for 135 days!

there were at least half dozen people from here at Nelson for that day. I was in B then, on a dark blue 04 GSXR600 (#369), retcpo96 was on a silver SV650, pmupson was on a white and red R6 but retired early when his handle bar snapped off . A few other guys we running in I - zedpilot among them.
