Wow...how disappointing. :oops:

One word -> GOALTENDING

Goaltending was the difference. Fleury gave up 5 goals on 24 shots, that is unacceptable. I know Gill got in the way on the one, but the Pens are not going to go much farther if Fleury doesn't start making some more saves. He stood on his head a few timse against the Flyers, but has not been impressive at all against the Caps.

Fleury needs to step up his game but the defense needs to play better also. The forwards are getting back but the defense men need to challenge for the puck they just keep backing up and letting them take a shot.

Also can we check someone please?? Playing like a bunch of girls, take some people off their feet

MAF has borderline sucked the whole washington series. He played so well against Philly too.
They do need to keep people off the front of the net but in the end most of the goals last night were pretty soft.
Some of the forwards really need to step up too - Kunitz in paticular. He's been absolutely useless so far in the playoffs. They should also sit Satan back down and dress Sykora again.

Yeah, I don't understand the whole Satan/Sykora deal. And I completely agree about the defensmen backing up and giving them long distance shots. Don't they realize they just turn into an additional screen for MAF when they do that? Step up and lay down the lumber...

looks like Gonchar may play in game 7 - they really miss him at the point.
funny thing is that they are not really giving up that many shots. The one that Gill ran into MAF on was pretty bogus but the rest really were MAF's to save.
hope to see Sykora along with sarge tomorrow.

Just hope Fleury has a good game tonight, Malkin shows up to play and Fedotenko keeps playing the way he has all series. The guy has the hot hand

Also hope they leave Scuderi on Ovenbitch, Scuderi shut him down last game.
