So....we are officially house owners.....won't be moving in till the end of the month....the current "owners" (technically renters now that we own it) wanted a month to move out....husband is retiring and they are moving up to BFE Colorado. So they are giving us $2100 to rent it out til the end of January Pics will be loaded up as soon as we get in there and get settled.....

So here's the skinny on the house:

3 BD/2.5 baths. 2260 sq. ft. Small private community consisting of 14 homes (not gated). Literally will take me 20 minutes to mow the front and back yard (if that)....grand total.....







$470,000

Ohh....and there's an HOA fee of $125/month....with no playground, pool, or hot tub


But we will be buying a hot tub in the future

I'm kind of in the same boat, as in probably done with track days. I'm not tired of track days, but I'm tired of my wife bitching about what it cost me to do it. I can't swing a dedicated track bike or even the track fees & expenses all the time, so she has every right to bitch about it and I can't really argue it. So I'll be going back to my roots of off road adventures this year also.

Glad to hear you are finally getting settled in your own place Jason. That sounds like a hell of a mortgage but I guess it's all relative to your area, cost of living and average incomes. Just remember, a house doesn't make a home. A family makes a home.

Yeah, having a wife & kids sure does change things. I wouldn't trade my family life for anything though. And that's probably what would happen if I kept doing track days.

wow.....I can really feel the love in the room

I could never be totally done with trackdays....it's one of my few "zens" that allow me to be relaxed in life and have a reason not to kill everyone I can understand about the cost....hence the reason why I corner worked for a few orgs. out here....it allows me to do them for free. I won't be doing that as much this year, because the main org I corner work for only does 2 tracks out here...and I want to get out and experience some of the other ones....I just have to give up doing "some" trackdays as opposed to "all" trackays.



JR.....being single is all well and fun....but let me tell ya freedom gets boring in some retrospect....for me, it's not about having a "nagging" partner....but over the past 9 1/2 years that I have been married, I wouldn't of made it through so many situations without my wife and kids. I am not saying go out and get married by all means. Enjoy life, and when you are ready...you'll jump in....if not, you won't:thumbup:

I look at it this way with my wife.....I am not "married" except by law....I have a great "friend" and partner that can actually put up with my shit and understands "me"....how many women do you know would of shown up at the ER after you just suffered a severe motorcycle accident and said...."you are getting another motorcycle"



and that's all that matters

And no Mike....I think it's closer to 4x the amount....maybe even 5. Because I think for that amount....I could buy a sweet ass house....with some land
