Hey guys, its been awhile. Hope everyone is doing well!

Matt, I read your post about your crash and injuries, I hope you have no lasting affects from that?

Mike, I see you took the Lyle school, did you get a chance to try out racing yet?

I saw Lantry sold his bike, is he done or did he buy something else?

Nate, how are you getting along with that R6?

Andy, hope you're still enjoying racing with Motoseries.

Anything other big news that I need to catch up on? Anybody make it to the New York Safety Track yet?

As for me, I'm in sunny Buffalo, NY now. And I'm looking to get another bike so I can get back out to there. I'm between a street 2007 R6 or a track only 2007 GSXR 750. It'd be nice to ride the R6 double duty since September is the first I'd likely be able to get back to a track (the Motoseries Saturday and the Euro day the following weekend). But even though its cheaper I'd like to have a bike that's all set up already. Thoughts?

This year has been non-existent for me at the track. Various other life priorities have taken over and that includes another child on the way in about 5 weeks.

So get a bike and do a trackday for me...

Well then congrats on the new baby! How much do you want for your R6 :biglaugh: ?

Not looking to unload the bike at this point

Hey Ben - great to hear from you again! My year's been a bust so far as well :( With going legit and setting up a shop as well as some family stuff I've had like zero time to get to the track. Hope to get a few weekends in before the end of the season though.
I'm not a big fan of the R6 for the street. If you can find a 750 that can pull double duty I think you'd be much happier.

What's up Ben? Good to hear from you! How do you like Buffalo? I grew up just across the river on Grand Island. My parents live in Youngstown, NY so I'll still get up there regularly.

Unfortunately 2013 has been a really shitty year for me. I got over the busted collar-bone around the end of Feb and then completely ruptured my Achilles tendon playing basketball at the end of May. This getting old shit sucks! So far I've had use of both hands and feet for a total of 90 days this year, and I'm not sure how much that number will go up before the year is over. I'm hoping to get out on the bike, and maybe a couple track days before the snow flies, but I don't know how realistic that is...

I vote for the 750...

Nice to hear from you Ben. Racing has been non existent lately, busted bike last time I rode it and haven't had the time to work on it due to work and the new addition to the family. I still get out sometimes and coach/cr on borrowed bikes.

Well its great to hear from everyone! But aren't we a bunch of sorry old men, haha!

Matt I think you are now the fourth person I know that has torn their achilles tendon and from what I hear, it is quite painful. I hope you heal up quick. Buffalo is interesting, everyone knows everyone, I didn't know you grew up in the area. I'm actually in Orchard Park. Except for the ridiculous taxes its about the same as NE Ohio.

As for the rest of you, babies or no babies, we gotta get back out there!

Mike, congrats on setting up a shop, I'll be interested to talk with you more about that!

As for bikes, I've now found a 3rd option. There is an 08 675 track bike with traxxion ak20's and an Ohlins ttx shock along with the other usual bits for $4,100. I've never turned a wheel on one and know very little about them. Any of you have any input?

I don't have any input, but I know there is more than one 675 owner that lurks around here...

It had its moments, but I wouldn't say it was the most painful thing I've even encountered. It has however been a major PITA - not being able to walk, surgery, excruciatingly long recovery time, etc. I really hope I never have to go through this again! I believe I’m officially retired from basketball and other stop/start sports.

That sounds like a lot of bike for the money!
