I do have Supertechs - absolutely an awesome boot. I don't have a single negative thing to say about them (other than price). They are certainly a step up for the older SMX Plus I had (which was/is a great boot as well). Super comfortable, nothing to catch on the bike, haven't crash tested them so no comment there but there is lots of padding/armor under the outter boot. Call Nick, bitch and moan about the price too.

A friend of mine busted the zipper on one of his Sidi boots and had it repaired by the local cobbler for $15...

check out sidi they are the only boot on the market with a replaceable sole and can be sent back for repairs. plus you get a very good price on them. or you could over spend

As long as they are protective and you like them, go with the TCX. Save the money for tires.

I have the SMX-Plus and they're a great boot. Can only imagine the SuperTech's being better.
Although, in the case of MX boots, the Tech-10 boot fits great, but I dislike how it hooks on the frame. Serious confidence issues for me when that happens. Only ridden with them once so maybe it's a matter of figuring it out a bit more.
