after talking things over with mark, still going to rebuild the engine. he has some spare used parts laying around that are good to use, so that dropped the parts price down and now we are under 3 grand so thats a bit better. also decided to rebuild because 1. the engine is already SS built and i dont want to go to a stock motor and 2. it would be a hassle for me to go get an engine since i dont have a truck and the 1 i found wasnt close 3. knowing my luck id buy a shit engine. this way i know whats done, i know who did it and know its going to be done right. thankfully mark is letting me take my sweet time to get money for this so he said its cool for me to save a while then we can start, so nothing is going to happen until january. cool of him to wait that long for me. just an update for you.

Sounds like a good choice. Mark's a good guy and should have my motor done this week or early next.

Update on the Kawi...

1. Put new subframe on today
2. Re-attached the exhaust
3. Found the cause of the annoying oil leak (missing catch bottle that attaches to air box for drainage, so just drained down the engine.

Also got a clutch lever and am waiting for a gas tank I picked up off ebay. After that just needs some small odds and ends to get her running again.

Thanks to Tib for his help...
