Thanks Ben! Probably turn #4 to #9 is where I dropped the most time. I believe I have a tendency to slow down more than I need to for #4 because I know I have to brake hard for turn #5. I think I can still go faster into #4 and may not need to let off at all? That might be a bit ambitious, but other riders were sometimes pulling a gap on me going into #4. I believe I am better on the brakes into #5 and I'm now down-shifting to 2nd gear and up-shifting to 3rd gear before #8. I think I made the most improvement by going into #4 faster and by down-shifting to 2nd gear for #5-#7.

I almost think my stock gearing would be better at Summit. I'm +2 in the rear and bumping the rev-limiter for #3, #4 and #8.

I do not like 5, I did like 4 but I was torn between wanting to rail through there and being cautious since it seems sort of downhill (I want to walk the track next time I'm there). I tried up shifting between 6/7 and then later tried between 7/8 and I didn't get enough track time to figure out which I liked better.

I like Summit, but I need to learn it better.

I had a pretty shagged set of tires. I did manage a 21 in the evening session but was basically to the cords when I left on Sunday.

Summit takes time to build confidence. On a 600 you probably want 2nd for 1-2 , grab 2 shifts back 1 for 3 and then 2 up and 2 down for 5-7 grab a shift out of 7 to 8 then 2 up and back one to 4th for 10.
