Andy - It was good to finally meet you! I was going to stop by at the end of the day but you were already gone? Hope everything is OK!

Crap! I was hoping that was not you!!! I hope your shoulder gets better quickly! I dislocated my shoulder and collar bone years ago in a mtb accident. I ripped the ligaments that connect the outside of the collar bone. The outside of my left collar bone sticks up under the skin. The recovery wasn't too bad and my shoulder aches a bit but is probably 98% - 99%. Best of luck and a speedy recovery!

I lowsided in that same corner. Lost the front unexpectedly, still do not know what happened just like you.

Hope you heal fast and fully.

I had a fun day at BeaveRun with Moto Series. I was honestly having a hard time getting too excited about the day. I knew the day was sold out and sometimes I think the Moto Series guys are a bit out of their element at BeaveRun. There was more traffic and a larger speed differential that I’m used to, but overall it was a fun day. I didn’t get many clean laps so I wasn’t able to improve on my lap times from a couple weeks ago. I was able to get down into the high 1:04’s twice and work on my passing (I need a lot of work).

It was cloudy so it wasn’t the prettiest day, but it was perfect weather for a track day! Low humidity and nice and cool all day. I don’t know if it was the cooler weather, getting held up in traffic, or both, but I never got fatigued, and felt like I could have kept riding until it got dark. It was good pitting with Kurt and to finally meet dirtydaytona (Andy). Pat stopped up for a bit and it was good to see all of the other SCR peeps. I’ll definitely keep an eye on the next Moto Series BeaveRun day.

During one of last sessions of the day a rider got past me on the brakes going into turn #1. When I got behind him I noticed blue smoke coming from his bike. I backed off so I wasn't right behind him if oil was getting in the track and/or if he crashed. I was on my way t the pits to suggest a black flag when he lost it on the exit of turn #10.

It turned out he was pitted right next to us. I was talking with Pat and Kurt and saw them pull the oily belly pan off the bike so i figured they knew what the deal was. I casually swung by his pits (almost didn't) and said that I had seen the oil coming from his bike. It turned out he had no idea his bike was leaking oil and thought he had spilled some in the belly pan when topping it off. He quicly located a missing bolt that was causing the oil leak and repaired it. Had I not stopped over he would have gone back out without fixing the leak - that would have been a bad thing!
