Basement is under control - just sucked dealing with it. A lot of guys like Dave got nailed a lot worse than we did.

I am however REALLY disappointed in NESBA. I asked for some consideration and they told me to go pound sand. Considering the amount of time and money I've spent with them and my ceaseless cheerleading of the org - not to mention a pretty legitimate emergency - they could have at least attempted to toss me a bone.
I'm sure this will affect my track day spending and recommendations in the future.

Well that sucks!
I'm not sure if youd get a referral bonus or not but between me and my pit buddy, they got an extra $450 ish for our participation, which they wouldn't have had if you didn't urge me to come out.

LOL, if I were to get referral $$$ from NESBA I'd be a rich man!

I forwarded my request to the powers that be @ NESBA and I hope I get positive feedback shortly.

Mike and Dave - Sorry to hear about water issues - really sucks!! My daughter lives in Luzerne county close to the river and she got like a 2 hour notice to clear out.

Mike - I would hope that NESBA hooks you up with some kind of consideration it's not like you said fuck it I'm not showing up.

Hope everything works out for you guys and we can hook up again this season.

Mike, sorry to hear about the basement issues. Saturday was a good day, but I think I might need to upgrade my tires. I'm running the Q2, and they started spinning up on me exiting turn 10. I've heard that with the new pavement work they've got down that tires have a tendency to do that. I should be able to get another 2 days out of this set, then I'm going to try a set of the GP tires.

Hey Jim - long time no see! Hope your season's going well. Need to hook up for a track day soon!

Brian, how warm was it and what pressures were you running in the Q2's?

It was in the low 80s and I usually run 27 psi in the rear tire. I just started taking that corner exit using a little less power until I was more straight up and down.

I've never had any trouble with them and they didn't slip anywhere else. I'd like to try the GP tires just to see for myself how much of a difference they'll make.

That's pretty low - Dunlop race service says like 32 psi cold for Q2. May have been the reason for it slipping.

I thought so too, but I was told that by three different CRs at two different track days; they actually thought the 28-30 psi I usually run was too high. Asked Jason Karns and he also said the high 20s was best.

It's no lower than any other track I've ridden on and this is the first time they slipped, but in the tire's defense, I was really moving off that corner...

I'm just going by what Steve Brubaker, Dunlop Race Tire service has said:

http://tracktalk.nesba.com/showpost.php ... stcount=26

Also Dunlop's tech info: http://dunlopracing.com/technical-info/#TP

I've only run Q2's on the street so outside of them working at 32/32 cold quite well there I have little to add from personal experience.

As always YMMV :)
