Getting work done on the bike today with the garage doors open (weather sure is nice!!!). There was a little oil on the inner tube of the left fork leg. I pulled the forks off the bike, pulled the dust seal off, cleaned everything off, and it doesn't seem to be leaking anymore. I checked the oil level in both forks and they are the same, so I don't seem to have lost much oil. I checked the run out on both forks with a dial caliper and got 0.003 inch. I don't know what the spec is, but the fact that I got the same on each leg leads me to believe they are straight. Now I can start putting the front end back together.

Front end is back on. I moved the forks 5 mm up in the clamps from flush.

.003 is pretty good. I have to have the ones on my 675 touched up a bit when I had cartridges put in.
You trying to quicken the steering a bit?

Now that the bike doesn't have any plastic on it, it's easier to measure the ride height, and it appears that I was previously 5 mm high from T-Man's recommendation.
