I could hang with many in the group, made passes back and forth and got to my personal best of 1:23.417 for Summit (top speed of 148 in case Clint is reading :finger: ).

Yep! He's reading! :biglaugh:

Awesome job getting into the :23's Mike! Now we just gotta get that top speed up there! :moon:

In my defense; I did say close to 160 mph!

Edit: I also have front and rear stands, as well as a dial indicator, in case anyone needs to check rotor runout.

You need a QStar all of your own so that you can stop the guessing game :)

My guess is that you're pretty close to a 160 but I don't think our bikes are hitting it. I forget what the theoretical top speed is supposed to be on a 675. I think I read something like 165 somewhere before. Not sure if that straight is big enough.

Mike's about 20 minutes west of where I'm at so its a bit of a haul to you guys (but it's pretty awesome of you to offer to help out a fellow TW like that  )

I know, I know...

Stephanie and I just signed a lease on an apartment so money is even tighter than it was before. I'll get there, and order a few things to accompany the QStars when I do.

I've often thought about changing the gearing offset in the TuneBoy program to something ridiculous, just to see the speedometer read almost 200mph!

I'd really like to and it's driving me nuts not being able to, but being that I'm still leading HWTss and HWTsb, I really should just stay focused on closing out my novice year as a champion. :D

If I do, it'll either be after 8-5-12 and before 8-25-12, or after 9-9-12 and before 9-22-12. We've got VIR, Nelson, Beaver, and then Summit left on the calendar for the season, with VIR and Beaver being double header weekends. (Sprint races on Saturday and Sunday instead of just Sunday). I'd really like to be able to do VIR North before August so i don't have to do another track I've never seen, but it's not even close to remotely possible. Even if it was, hardly anyone ever runs the North course.

I will have some free time after September though. The GNF's are at Barber, but not until October 27th and it's not a requirement that I make them.

Thanks guys! I do have some stands for the front and rear. So I guess the redneck version would be to put it on the stand and spin the wheel with a dial indicator on the rotor? How much out of true is too much? I have been in a wreck on the street years ago and like Mike said, it’s got 40K on it (20K since the wreck).

I do want to check or fix the cheap stuff first. So I’ll check the torque on the bearing today. Check the rotors and get SS lines, pads and good fluid. Where is a good place to get those?
