Someone want to clue the rest of us in. Obviously Matt wrecked, but details?

Matt, glad you are OK (for the most part).

Next to last A session. I had caught a slower rider coming down the hill from T7 and went to go around him on exit of T8. He was significantly slower and looked to be exiting about mid track to maybe 1/3 of the way to the right side of the track - tons of room.
As soon as I showed him a wheel he freaked out or something. He either just chopped his throttle or hit his brakes and started washing out into me, and quickly. His bike moved over like 4 or 5 feet toward me in an instant. I changed my line to not get hit and almost got run off track.
I had no idea that Matt was also stuck in this (and apparently Pat in tow too). He was looking to set me up to get me in the shoot between T8 and T9. As I drifted wide to avoid getting hit by the guy I was passing I took away the space Matt was trying to put his bike into.
I almost ran off track trying to avoid the other rider and Matt did run off trying to avoid both of us. He tumbled once he got off and broke his collar bone.
It was a really scary crash to see considering the speeds we carry around T8. I just caught a glimpse of him going off and tumbling out of the corner of my eye as I got done trying to avoid the guy who checked up on me. Not pretty at all.
I’d love to know why the rider I was passing checked up. My primary theory has to do with the group issues we already covered.

Just checked my GPS data - I was running a bit over 105mph +/- 3mph most of the day around T8

That stinks. That is the complaint I've had with other groups besides NESBA I've ridden with is the lack of control of who is allowed in the groups. Had some serious issues with this at NJMP a couple years back with STT.

Heal up quick Matt.

When do you go to see the orthopedic surgeon?

I think the guy that checked up on me is the guy Carl passed at around 12:20 minute mark of the video, just off T7.

I was too busy at work to call yesterday, I'm going to call the doc today. I'm convinced I'll need a plate and want to get it done ASAP.

Dude with the orange helmet and blue leathers? I'd love to have a friendly, constructive, chat with that guy...

I'm about 75% sure that's the guy. Maybe Pat remembers?
Shit happens so fast on track that unless its someone you follow for a few laps or you already know its about impossible to remember who did what.
I'm guessing that I came up on him about as fast as Carl did in the video so I did not spend much time following him around. I think I caught him coming down the hill.

Gots some new titanium parts on Friday - plate and 9 screws. C-bone was busted in 4 pieces.
