thanks for your concern guys. i'm walking around with two air casts on but i'd say that will be good in a short few weeks. the shoulder will need a little more though so i'm probably out for the season. but hey, i guess things like this just come with the territory right? it really sucks that i'll miss archery season this year too but ya know, that was an awesome weekend anyway. :toocool: i'll be back for more.

you know that i'm really disappointed to have to replace my stock rear sets now. :biglaugh: otherwise the nose piece should be all it really needs. other than a few scrapes here and there it wasn't too bad. the motivation sliders definitely did their job. but they will get replaced also since they are ground down a bit.

great write up mike. can't wait to do it all again. well, without any of us crashing next time.

by the way, thanks to everyone for all the help getting my stuff loaded up to hit the road.

i also have a jug of rotella oil that somebody thru in my truck. anyone missing some???

mike that would suck to get home after all of the excitement of the weekend and not be able to get into your house. good thing they are relatively close by, lol.

ugh, sounds a lot worse than we thought yesterday.... shoulders suck, did mine like 3 times now. just a real bitch.
i guess wrecking is a part of the gig and a few of the CR's were taking groups out mad fast. i'm guessing cold tires had a lot to do with it. i just back off until i think i have temps in my tires, like a pair of laps. I don't give a shit if I fall back or if people pass me until i feel i'm good to go.
look on the bright side, no more beginer meetings when you get back

edited some above, check it out...

Yeah, the shoulder is a bit worse than I had originally thought too. I was pretty comfy with it propped on the arm rest for the trip home, but trying to unload some junk proved otherwise so I headed for the ER. The Doc sent me for more x-rays today (weight bearing x-rays) and I'm still waiting for results to determine the next course of action. I've had sprained ankles and a broken ankle before and this round isn't near as bad so I'm sure they will be a short term healing process.

I guess I learned my lesson the hard way for trying to follow a CR early in a session on cold tires. I had a gut feeling that I should back down but didn't listen to it. :dunce: I should have known better.

I think we should coin the phrase " pulling a Chad" when referring to trying to keep up with a CR anytime since he started it all this weekend, lol.

No more beginner meetings will be cool. Assuming that I wouldn't get bumped down after crashing in I. I don't think they'll do that though. Otherwise I feel comfortable in I. :toocool:

yeah, i was looking for that jug of oil, lol - i guess keep it as a wreck throphy or something - it was a gift from chad for changing his oil either way. i guess it's one well traveled motor oil :-)
