Are those Vortex frame sliders? That bolt bent or snapped bad...and i've heard that about Vortex before...hopefully that comes out easy.

Glad to hear your okay.

Yeah, probably going to replace them with woodcraft. That bolt is going to be a pain to get out.

Nate,

Glad your ok, bike doesn't look to bad though.

How much of the day did you miss??

Thats one of the worst parts. I wrecked on the 3rd lap after lunch. So I missed the whole afternoon and did not get any money back.

Overall doesn't look like too much work to fix. The hardest part is going to be getting the frame slider bolt that broke out of the frame.

I cancelled my Aug Nashville dates with STT, so right now my next dates are Sept 12/13 at Summit with NESBA.

Could you cut the frame slider off far enough away from the frame that you could use vise grips to grip the bolt and turn it out?

Frame slider bolt coming out with no problems FTW.

Was able to bend the slider back fairly straight and then just screw out the bolt. I was pretty stoked.

I finally got paid for my freelance work, so have the cash to start getting things. From what I can tell, I need the following:

Bodywork
Windscreen
Frame sliders
Swingarm spools
Duct assembly
Left case cover
Clip ons
Gloves
XT Lap Timer replacement wire

I already ordered the duct assembly from Ron Ayers and the new rearsets are ready to go onto the bike. Working out the final list with Nick at STG for the rest of the stuff and am going to get that put in. Once I get everything, shouldn't take long to get it all back on.

you have to replace the whole body? sux..
i'd just get a woodcraft engine cover and be done with it. some of the hits i've seen those things survive were pretty amazing.
what size clip-ons do you need? i have a set of 50mm woodcrafts i may be looking to part with.
