Thanks guys!!

Today was an awesome day. Not just because I got bumped, even if that would not have happened I was super happy with how I rode today. I have no idea what lap times I was turning and don't really care, I felt super smooth and was pretty much able to pass most everyone in the "I" group at will. I had to have passed at least 5 or 6 people on the outside of T8 and I even took one guy on the outside of T10.

I usually feel like crap my first session of the day and after lunch. But from the start of the day I felt good and in rhythm. I finally decided at lunch it was time to see where I fell in the pecking order so I made a conscious effort to line up front left. 1st session after lunch I was 2nd in line but then 2 guys they were evaluating for bumps went right behind the CRs so I ended up being 4th. I was definitely faster than the guy in front of me, but thanks to his big liter bike it took a few laps for me to figure out where to pass him (got him on the outside of T8). After that, I realized I could run with the front guys.

Next session I got up there first. Had a great session with the "I" captain CR watching me the whole time. He flagged another CR after the session to evaluate me. 3rd session after lunch got evaluated by another CR and...tada...I got the bump.

Last session I rode in "A" and it really wasn't too bad. I kept up with most of the guys out there except for the 2 factory M3 yamaha guys, they passed us all like we were sitting still.

Overall it was a great day. My wife, parents, and a buddy of mine was there to watch and Lee rode really well (the few times I saw him). The weather was beautiful, track condition good, and riding was smooth. Can't wait for the next TD!!

Congrats Nate

It was probably those "Fast" tires I sold/mounted up for you the night before. :fact

I was joking with the guys at the track about that yesterday. I do appreciate you doing that for me on such short notice. I am starting to agree with Mike that sometimes the best part about tires is the mental confidence you get.

I do have to say I was a little nervous with the pressures that are used in those Michelins. However I ran exactly what was recommended on the WERA board and had no issues. Oh, and they wore really well, can probably get 2 more days out of them. If I can get 3 days out of a DOT I'd am happy.

My dad got this pass on video. This was my first session in "A". This was T10 and I thought I had cleared him coming into the braking zone. When I watched the video last night I realized it was much closer than I thought.
