| Post subject: | First Race #2 |
Decided to give racing a try. Licensed with MotoSeries and ran 600 superbike race 2 and Mini Iron Butt (40 minute). Started on row 14 position 35 (dead freakin last) in the sprint race. #1 board went sideways butterflys started green flag waved and I stalled (tach broke fri. evening). Composed myself put my head down ended up 6th in the novice group. The 40min. endurance race went better and ended up with a podium finish 2nd

Was there all weekend. Friday night dialed in suspension and what not, Saturday did race school, and Sunday raced. The endurance race kicked my butt after riding 2 days in 90* weather plus first time out this year. Did 425 miles. |

I think starts are one of the hardest parts of racing for me, since I don't ride the street, I never really "launch". 40 min endurance, sheesh, I'm complaining about a 20 min solo, I give you props for that! As for the event, did you think it was fairly well run or kinda sketchy? |
