That's the tripple, correct? I have the double (in the Daytona) and no complaints at all.
Just makes sure it's set up for you (valved/sprung) by either Penske or someone who know wtf they are doing.
I'm not sure if the price difference to the tripple is worth it from the double. I have a tripple on my R1 (Elka) and to me the high/low speed compression adjustment is more of a pain than it's worth. Then again I'm hardly the suspension expert.
When I purchased my Penske the shop actually sort of talked me out of the tripple. Go figure...

This is through thermos. He is on the nesba board with alot of recommendations. I have not talked to mark yet. I think elka and penske are close but this guy doesnt sell elka. He will be at alot of nesba days to dial my stuff in which is what i want. Yes it is the triple

His name is mike fitzgerald. He seems like he knows his shit and he is not trying to push ohlins or other expenses i do not need.

Anyone work with him before??

I'm not suggesting Elka vs. Penske - I like the support for Penske better. My only question would be the value of the tripple vs. the double. Thermos man has a good rep.

I just heard of hin the other day so i did not know much about him but i figured NESBA wouldnt let a shitty guy work on their members bikes. I suggested the triple. I am not sure about the price difference between the two.

Is it worth the reservoir to be placed further back?

In theory sure - in practise it probably does not matter that much. I think most have a remote reservoir anyway. You have to figure out where to mount it. Both my Elka and Penske have remote reservoirs.

Things like remote adjusters are nice but you have to ask yourself how much you will really be playing with the stuff?

I've done very little messing around with my stuff after Cogent built it. I had Mark play with the bike at NJMP last year and he pretty much said there was nothing he would change.

If you trying to decide on a triple or double think it depends on you the tracks you ride and use for the bike. I ride Summit Main and Shenandoah alot. The surface on main seams like it changes every few months. Sometimes that in cludes terrible patch jobs that are very bumpy. Its nice to have the elka 3way which allows me to adjust for what every track maintenance decides to throw at me. Last year there was a huge divot right on the race line just as you got on the power coming out of 9. This year with the new shock Im able to throttle through there harder than ever without upsetting the chassis.
