anyone heard or have any experience with the sportbiketrackgear branded single temp warmers they have for sale? the say they are made by chicken hawk. i'm just looking for something relatively inexpensive for basic track day shenanigans. i figure the straight chicken hawks or woodcrafts would be overkill for just track days, even though they are super nice.

I have never used them, but I've never seen any complaints about them either. Based on the lack of complaints and the relationship with Chicken Hawk, I think you would be fine. You'll be fine with single temp although I really like my dual temp.

in regards to extension cords used for warmers. would it be better to get a single chord for each tire? or can i run a split at the end and just one chord?

Get a good, heavy duty cord and a good splitter. Lowe/Home Depot has lots to choose from. I just picked up a reasonably cheap 3 way outdoor one Lowes sells for like $5 or less. Has worked great for years

This is what I have for a splitter (except mine is orange) - can't beat the price:
