My tire warmers showed up yesterday. The FedEx guy left them by my garage door after my wife got home so she never saw the box. :toocool: I put them on and gave them a little test run. They seem to be pretty high quality units. My only gripe so far is that I wish they came in black. I already got some grease/chain lube on both covers so they are sure to look like hell in short order. I believe the genny is supposed to show up today so that will be the real test...

How do you like those Krosswerks? And which generator did you end up with?

I just picked up a barely used set of CH Pole Positions with the 3 temp settings: 130, 155 amd 175. I'll just use my CH standards for back up.
Mounted them on a set of old tires and am running them through a duty cycle right now to check the temperatures.

So far, so good with the warmers. I got the cheap Ebay genny, same as Mike and Joe. Hard to beat for the price...

I hope you get lots of use out of them both. I was nearly tarred and feathered on another forum for posting about the gens you guys bought and the one I got today. :gun: Of course they all had Hondas. I don't think either of these is any louder than the ones Stickboy had and many of the WERA crew liked those well enough.

Peace! :toocool:

Guy on NESBA boards has a set of dual temp Suzukas for $160 shipped. I know you guys were not super thrilled, but I'm thinking these may be better than nothing. Any thoughts?

I generally don't have an issue with people buying cheap generators. But, there is a reason why higher quality ones cost more. Whatever you run, I'd recommend using a quality surge suppressor between the generator and whatever it connected to it. I've seen cheap generators fry electrical stuff.

On the topic of tire warmers, I have a set of Woodcraft dual temps. Works perfectly!
