I've run them on the street for a long time and have always been impressed with them.
Ran them at Nelson cause it was supposed to be wet in place of the typical SuperCorsa's I've been running.
Really impresed with how well they stuck, wore and felt all day. Nelson's probably "easier" on tires than something like Beaver but still the tires looked great after almost 200 miles.
They stuck well enough in the couple of early wet sessions we ran and really great when it dried up.
I'm probably not running a pace that really requires DOT's. I do like having DOT's just to make myself feel better and since riding is like 90% in your head that probably will not change. But I would not hesitate at all to run Corsa III's on the track again.
I know a lot of guys have run them right into NESBA'a A. I'm sure they will also out last DOT's.
The only other street tire I've run at the track was a Metzler M3 and I was not all that excited about it.
Anyway, its a really great tire. I ran them 31/29 HOT. They were a bit sensitive to rear tire pressures. I did not check after the first dry session and rear was up close to 32 and was getting a bit scetchy. Dropped it down to 29 and it was damn near perfect.

What did you use as the cold starting pressures? I have always set the pressures at 31 front, 29 rear cold. been told by others that they use something similar. 30/30 has been mentioned by many.

DCIII are the only tires I've ever run on the track, so I don't have any other experiences to compare with, but I have always been satisfied with them.

i start about 3 to 4 pounds down from my hot target and adjest from there.
starting 31/29 cold will get you to probably 35/33 or 36/34 or so hot on a warm day at the type of pace you and I run. That's a bit much and the tires felt best to be at 31/29 hot to me at Nelson. How your suspension is set up will obviously effect things as well.

they are great tires, but once you reach a certain pace you need DOTs at least. the one i have is absolutely freaking cooked and hard as a rock and it was only 2 td's old when i wrecked on it at summit last year.

i would def run them in the rain though

I run them at mid to fast NESBA I group pace and have no problems. Start them out 28 front 27 rear cold so they heat up to 30-32 hot.
