Maybe you guys are right, might be time to move up. I think I might pick up a set of power races just to try out and if I like them I'll start running that level of tire instead of the street/track tire I have been running.

No you want the power one front

a pm from greg melka (pretty well known on the wera forum)

"im saying if your considering a Power1 V, throw the PR-C front away or give it to someone your not fond of..or put it on a street bike. The new tires have nothing in common with ANY of the old tires other than the front V is similar in overall height so you dont have to make ride height adjsutments.
The V is a softer carcas tire than the B and A power 1 fronts having 4 plys and yes, it feels a bit like the pirelli front but with better more confidence inspiring side grip. I have riden pirellis.. A BUNCH.. in motoST competition. The front was incredible.. on a lightweight bike. I did not like them on a 600 and they did not last any longer than even the PR series tires. I was going to switch to Dunlops IF the new Michelin tires did not come out. They did, and they are better than anything out there. "

Take it for what you will, i know john was running prc's down at summit and was in the 19's

the power ones and power races are two different set of tires. if he gets power races he cant get a power one front. he would have to buy the two tires seperate. he wants a prc if he gets the power races.

My Dunlop hook up appears to be running out and right now it looks like my new plan will be to buy Michelin's from SBTG. I'm thinking the Power Race for $240 a set will be the way I will go. I know a couple fast guys that use Michelin. John, who I ride with quite a bit gets all his tires from SBTG and loves them. I believe he has been running the PRC front and PR3 / PR4 Rears. Another friend of mine (Kenny) ran 1:02's on them at Beaver and said he liked them better than Supercorsa's. They also have the 4 tire deal with the Commercial Power One front (More like a PC3) for $439. John uses warmers and Kenny did not. I'm bit on the fence right now about warmers. I am starting to notice that the grip level of my rear tire starts to go off while it's still got a decent amount of tread left on it. If warmers can prevent that, they may be well worth the investment...
