Soooooo I bought Penske fork valves kit and race-tech springs for my bike. My local shop only has 2.5w, 7.5w, and 10w oil in stock . The shop i bought the parts from,Hordpower recomended 5w. What I am wondering is should I have the shop order the 5w or try the 7.5??? Will i notice any real difference. The bike will mainly see trackdays next year maybe a day or 2 a month on the street. What do you guys think

Honestly just order what you need... You can however mix 2.5 with 7.5 to get to 5w. I do seem to remember that it's not as simple as 50/50 mix. A lot of the oil makers will put mixing ratios on the back of the bottle. If memory serves at least Elf used to....

In my experience, the oil you use can make a big difference! Per the attached link it seems that oil weight is not consistent across different brands. I would go with the oil brand and weight that was recommended by Hordpower. If you end up trying to make changes in oil weight, I'd stick to the same brand as going from 5W to 7W Maxima will be different than going from 5W Maxima to 7W Redline...
