Believe it or not, the stock fork springs are pretty close for me, the stock shock spring is way too light though...

Did this happen when you hit the tree limb?

I was looking at the Racetech calculator the other day and was shocked. The stock front forks in my bike are 1.0, I was surprised they were so heavy. And the rear is 9.5!

I'm guessing that makes installing / removing the springs a 1 person job? If so, that's awesome. No way I could do it solo with my Traxxion Dynamics tool...

I have to imagine that's what bent the damper rod...

That's what Racetech says is in my forks as well. I've never changed them, my sag sets up as it should, and the front feels solid. The shock spring on the other hand was way soft for my fat ass. I'm running the spring off an CBR 1K (2005-2006 I believe) and it's worked out well.

Are you going to get it back together for the 12th?

Seeing how hosed that damper rod is you're lucky the rest of the fork made it through in one piece

It's back together and ready to go. :toocool:

Everything with the exception of the damper rod looks fine, but replaced all the internals in both forks because I could. Hopefully I'll be able to sneak out for a test ride sometime this week. If fresh forks make half the difference a fresh shock made, I'll be a very happy boy!
