I just saw this while I was there today. I can't find decibel ratings for it though? The sale tag said that price is only good thru tomorrow.

It won't be a Honda but for the price you won't beat it

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking too.

Just an update, I didn't get the HF because I missed the sale. I found a Champion 3500W at Tractor Supply for $300 as an everyday price, not a sale. Its not terribly loud, but as expected, not whisper quiet. I made a 3 sided plywood enclosure with a roof and added carpet padding to the inside. I'll point the open side away from the pits. It cuts down the noise quite a bit.

I seen people use those. You think it cuts down the noise enough to run it through the night?

I would say it depends on your noise tolerance, and how close you have to keep it to your trailer. It definitely helps the way I have it right now but it could be even better with a bit of effort. I only added one layer of carpet padding to the walls, another layer or some other type of sound mat would be even better. But even as it is now, it makes a noticable difference.

As it is, with a long extention cord and the box in place I plan on running it at night and if its too loud I'll add some more insulation. First night camping with it will be Friday, and I'm going to need it to run a heater cause its going to be freezing  .

Yeah the enclosure worked great. The guy next to me couldn't believe I only paid $300 for the generator and then I put the enclosure on it with a 50' cord and the opening pointed away from everyone. No issue with having a conversation and I ran it the whole time, he said it was as quiet as his Honda but I think he was just being nice. I ended up not camping out but absolutely could have with it running.
