My HF changer has saved me so much $. As well as being less expensive, it's quicker and easier to do them yourself, rather than running back and forth to the bike shop. HF has balancers now too...

:wstupid:

I don't even want to count how much I would have spent by now time and $$ if I was still taking my wheels to a shop to do tires.
Ben, I have the stand bolted to a 1" thick piece of 4'X4' plywood. It's heavy and big enough that I can stand on the wood while working on the tire but still slide the whole thing into a corner of the garage when not in use.
I am not 100% sold on Mojo blocks, I think duct tape works as well or better. I will give a full endorcement to the No-Mar bar and the yellow hand.
I also have the HF balancer which works fine.
I don't remember how much I put into all of it but even if you don't look at the money the convenience of being able to do this when ever with the rate at which we destroy tires is fairly priceless.

I have been "hands on" with a No-Mar changer and I've seen a couple of others in use. They are all honestly nicer than the HF one BUT at exponentially higher cost. I think for a guy that's just looking to do his tires and maybe a set here or there for a friend the HF is just about perfect.

Nice, thanks for that. I'm going to pull the trigger on the HF set-up and No-Mar bar.

I love Tib!!

If I ever get a setup, it'll probably be something similar to what Big Kaley had at Jennings last year where he was able to hook it into his trailer hitch so it was portable. I'll wait till I have my own garage and look into all this at that point.

Kaley told me who made his changer but I forget... To me it looks like a nicer set up than No-Mar. I like how the mount/dismount bar slid over the center post rather than around it like on the no-mar or even the HF.
I think he had over $700 into it though,

Yeah, he said some company in TX made it and that it was better than the No-mar. But he did say it was pricey.

I can't complain I have the cheapest one no mar sells and have literally done 250 sets of tires with it. It has held up to the abuse. I bought it back when they were just starting out. They only had the one I bought and the pro model. He gave me a big discount cause the powder coating wasn't good. Worth every penny.

I haven't tried the others but anyone can try my no mar to get an idea of it can.
