This looked like the best place to put this. If I put this in the wrong place please move.

So a few months back I decided to sell my trailer because I was trying to buy a house. The underwriter wanted more proof from where i sold the trailer from which i could not come up with and i just became tooooo much of a hassle. I went looking for another trailer and I stumbled across a '98 Ford E-350 box van with cosmetic and a mechanical engine issue we are thinking it is a rod knock or the timing chain guide/tensioner which are prone to snapping(so my bro. in-law tells me, he is an ASE Master Tech). I had almost $3500 into my 7x14 trailer sold it for alot less for a quick sale picked up the van for 1k the box is 8x16. It is just being used for storage at my parents house for the time being

I could go alot of ways with this and nothing is set in stone for now i am just trying to focus on what the truck needs:
2 new tires
New back door
New handle for interior door
Figure out what is wrong with motor
replace radiator(already have a replacement)

Here are a couple pics nothing special

Image

another reason i got it was because of the walk way from the cabin to the box

The whole door is rotting away

Yea, it is definitely gonna need a good amount of work. I think I am going to try and peel more stickers off, replace the door, and look into the motor some next weekend.

Good luck with it. Toy haulers like that can be pretty good. I have an E250 that I bought new and built up specifically for hauling bikes.

Do you have to use a huge ramp for those?

Probably, however this truck actually sits lower than my 2007 Tundra did.

Edit: I will probably get http://www.discountramps.com/black-widow-motorcycle-ramp.htm

Yea pretty much. What extra money I am gonna be spending on gas I will save on hotel rooms by being able to sleep in there. still need to figure out how I am going to keep all the power running. thinking about doing what this guy did http://www.steynfamily.com/mercedes-sprinter-van-conversion-to-mercedes-sprinter-van.htm with solar battery chargers

Damn! That guy did a hell of a job! I want to insulate the back of my van still. Unfortunately, that means I have to remove the liner. No biggie as it's only a couple of hours to do everything (again).

As for power, I just carry my Honda EU2000i generator and have an APC power strip bolted to the bulkhead. At trackdays, it's enough to power the warmers and something small like my netbook, clock-radio, etc. At night, I just let the generator run (shackle it to the frame though).

Yea he did, I didnt think generators were good to charge batteries wiith????

Thinking about it I will probably do what the guy with the sprinter did for interior lights and little things while we are going to and from the track, I might still get a generator for backup power and when I start using warmers.
