looks like summit Main is getting repaved. :toocool:
I really hope it lasts and i am so looking forward to riding Main this year.

Quote:
The plan is to repair all of the corners (1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) with the oversight of a pro using the most proven techniques available. If there is a long term solution. this will be it. "Cure" time is built into the equation before there is heavy use. The repaving process is scheduled to take place the last two weeks of March and the first week of April.

Very cool. They did parts of Brainerd last year or the year before... There was talk about using taconite as it lasts longer than asphalt. Problem is that it's so heavy you can only haul half as much as you normally can. Not sure if they did that as the cost was a little more than regular asphalt.

I'm not getting my hopes up. That just looks like a post from someone who might know. These rumors have been passed around before and not been true.

I will say however that if they do repave and take the time to do it correct... :toocool:

Yep, a little too soon to get too excites, but I hope it happens. Main is a great course and if we can just get it to stay consistent from weekend to weekend I'll be happy
