That was another thing i was wondering about, the 190 is bigger so you need to raise the front to compensate but we already run the forks flush.

Did you use the fork cap extenders? or just lower the rear?

Milling the bottom of the top clamp approx. 17mm @ the steering head junction is common practice to gain more ride height.

Hey Jr. which extenders did you use and how did you like the switch from 180 to 190? And did you raise the rear at all?

i didnt use any extenders. i just dropped the forks a few mm's and i left the rear alone. as far as the switch. i like it, its hard to describe what the change felt like. its been a while since i switched. once i switched i could tell the differences a bit but now i cant and i forget what i noticed... lol one thing i noticed is i dont wear to the edge of the tire like i used to even though im running faster then i was on a 180. i actually used a 190/60 slick at jenning and that thing was rock solid until i got past the wear marks and then it went off pretty bad.

Gotcha, thanks for the feedback. I definitely don't NEED the 190, but I was curious if that and the geometry changes slowed turn-in significantly. I wonder if you started running faster because you have more confidence in the 190 or you're just getting better overall?

im sure some of it is a mental thing but also i dropped my times by 3 seconds at beaverun and 2 at summit main just by racing with WERA. im sure getting better the more i ride is part of it as well.

i think turn in is pretty fast imo. i dropped the forks so the bike would finish the turn better

turn in actually should have gotten quicker since you are reducing trail by lifting the rear end - you drop the fork in the tripples to offset that (and gain stability by dialing more tail back into the bike).
