I'm going to ask a question:

What oil are you using?? The reason I ask is I own a Kawi and have owned a few (ask the guys on the board here... ) all of them being the ZX-10 both 1st and 2nd Gen. I noticed if they had synthetic in it, they were rattling....as soon as I switched from syn to regular oil....no noise. It's just a suggestion and a cheap one to check before tearing into it.

If you want, I can ask my buddy Will who is the mechanic for the California Superbike School, all the school bikes are 05-06 ZX-6's.....he would know for sure.

Been running Mobil1 15w-50 full synth in it since 3000 miles. Not saying you are wrong but with just over 26,300 on it now, you would think I would have noticed the rattle sooner if the synthetic oil was causing it.

I'd love to see what your buddy thinks. Either way I will be tearing into it, even if it's just for GP.

On the CA Superbike School note, I heard they are switching to BMW for next year.

Lol, ya I have heard they get the "top notch" guys there

I think we have met before jarhead. Probably at a Ti2TT trackday, I'm thinking possibly Buttonwillow? Do you know Harry? Old fucker, blonde, rides a maroonish colored Gixx1k.
