I clutchless shift most of the time on all bikes track and street - even my Harleys.

I use Std shift but have always considered GP for my track bike. I have sato rear set that can be changed in a matter of minutes. I guess at this point I'm too busy learning other stuff while on the track.

Forgot to post back up about this. I gave the GP shift a try the whole day at Mid-O...I love it. For some reason it felt easier to stay tucked on the straights. It was a very easy conversion to do on the Gix. I never went the wrong way but I did have a couple, "wait, what am I doing" moments before tipping in.

I never seem to go the wrong way while accelerating...if I do mess it up its always while I'm coming into a corner and I'll go from 3rd to 4th when I wanted to go into 2nd....regardless I found it very easy to get used to with minimal "oh shit" moments...

Just do it. I only ride on the track. Which had me second guessing it for a while but there were a few spots on Main and Shenny Rights and Lefts that i had issues shifting problems. I finally did it and life is great. When I test ride customer bikes I shift as little as possible and I use the clutch to differentiate. I got use to GP after 1 street ride where a friend let me use his Gixxer. This sounds crazy but every once in a while I mess up but its always when Im putting around. When I turn up the pace and during races I have never made a mistake. Hope this helps.

Corey

Gp shift is the way to go, been doing it this way for years. I too was skeptical at first, one day I did it and was mad because I should have done it a long time ago. I have it on all my street bikes as well. Up shifting before a corner is a no thought and it makes cornering easier. Once you try it, after a lap or two you will have no problem with it at all......one love fam.....try it you'll like it...mikey likes everything......life cereal commercial...Lol........ :toocool:

I guess I'll find out since I just changed to it. I've been trying to do some laps around the neighborhood to get used to it so it is one less thing I have to think about once I'm back on the track.
