Looks Good! It always takes longer, and costs more, than you think it will. My rule of thumb is that it will take twice as long and cost twice as much as I first expect...

Yeah, it did cost a bit more than I had planned but not too bad. And the taking longer part was mostly because I had to fit my wedding in there somewhere! I got married at the end of July :toocool: .

duct tape - the answer to everything

looks like progress - you putting street stuff back on it?

Yeah street stuff is going back on for now. I'm planning on getting some Optimal stuff from the guy that sells them on WERA and shipping/painting/mounting might take a bit. Plus I want to ride it on the street first to make sure its all sorted before paying for another track day. The only day I might run street bodywork is the 21st twilight at Mid-O. I think I'll be a bit more ginger with it though  .

Looks good! A little painter's tape and you have a track weapon!

I pulled the trigger on some used bodywork on WERA. While this probably won't come as a surprise to anyone,
this Hotbodies stuff just doesn't fit right compared to the used Sharkskinz I had. The upper and lower don't fit flush
and the stuff feels paper thin. However it looks decent and I don't have to paint it  . Just have some
sticker removal to do and order some new numbers for the tail.

Looks good, Nate said the same thing about his Hotbodies Bodywork...but it works and he's crash tested it a few times...

Hotbodies is a major PITA to mount up, especially if bought brand new. The dipples for the holes are not even close. However once mounted up, for as cheap as it is I guess I can't complain. If I had the option, I would buy armour bodies but I don't, its either Hotbodies for <$500 a set or Sharkskinz for $1000 a set. I can get 2 for 1 so I just went with the Hotbodies.

Yeah I found my old Sharkskinz and these Hotbodies used. Sharksinz went on perfect no issues. These
damn things are going to fight me everytime I put the lower on. Next time if I can't find anything
decent used I'll use the NESBA discount that Woodcraft has for $100 off of a set of Amour Bodies. I was going to
go the Optimal route but they sell out of my model within 2 weeks of getting an order in.

My bank account needs me to not crash test anything for awhile  .

My R1 has Armour Bodies...they were a breeze to mount up...just drilled the dimples and they went on super smooth.
