you can always for get some DOT 4 and use that to get all the air out of the system and then finish off by pushing that stuff out with the goood fluid.

Just about any master will work - the recent R6/R1 masters are the cheap option, Brembo 19X18 or RCS is the (better) but far more costly option.

You should not have any real issues - does your master have a single or both lines going up to it?
The R1 is set up for 2, as I believe is the R6, but if you only have 1 all you would need to do is reuse your current banjo bolt.
Brake switch is not an issue for you so.... The only other thing might be if your reservour is mounted to your current master you'll have to get a bracket (but I don't believe that is the case on the 636).
You will obviously also need to get a bottle of good fluid to flush the system after installing the new master.

if you don't have SS lnes you might want to do it all in one shot and save having to fuck with it twice.

That's exactly what I was thinking after posting. The local stealer sells repsol dot 4 but it boils lower than the RBF so I'll bleed with that and then fill with what I have left of the RBF.

Is there anything I need to be worried about as far as fitment? Hoses, adapters, etc fitting the new master? Are they all pretty much the same, just internals are different? More I think about this I want to do this, but I don't want to buy a master for an R6/R1 online and then find I can't use it on my bike.

Bike is at my parent's house, so not 100% sure....I believe both lines run up to the master and I already have a bracket that mounts the resevoir to the clip on, not the master.

why dont you just buy a new bike with brembo master and save yourself the hassle
