the A* held up better, it only pulled a seam on the shoulder, but my two crashes in the teknic were much harder and i slid a lot farther on the track then i did with the A*. i switched to teknic becuase i found it on clearance for 399 when it was usually 649
here are the two suits
A* SG1

GixxerSixxer, sorry to hear you're the resident expert in the "protective gear review from first hand knowledge category" . I'm curious though if the A* held up well in the crash why did you switch to a Teknic? Just the weight issue?

don't feel bad for him

Is this because he was running faster than you before he crashed? :moon:

Alright so I found a pretty good deal on Teknic Violator, lightly used $250 size 46. I'm 6' 190lbs and it seems like I should be in a 46, but from what I'm reading some folks think the Teknic's run a tad small?

GixxerSixxer or anyone else with a Teknic, does that seem to be the case?

They do run small.

I am 6'2" and 210# and i have a size 48/58 and it is nice and snug.

The 46 may fit, if not you can resell it

I pulled the trigger on it, should be here by Thursday, just in time to get rained on at BeaveRun Saturday  .

Hopefully it fits, but if not, I agree reselling is always and option.
