Hey, found this forum through the R1 boards and it looks pretty sweet. Been riding for three years now but just recently upgraded from my sad little ninja to a 2008 R1  Used to go to the track with my (now ex) bf and I'm pretty pumped that I'll be on the track this season instead of chilling in the pits watching the gear.

Welcome - thats a BIG step up from the 250R! I have basically the same bike, an 07 R1 - probably my sig that got you here from the r1-forum. Congrats on getting yourself out of the pits and on to the track! Good group of riders here without the BS and leg humping over at the R1 board. Cheers

Welcome! I have to imagine you can do trackdays in Texas year round. Not so for us northern folk. We're pretty much done until April unless we want to drive to Florida.
