I don't think I'd buy a new Toyota, I can't right now anyways, just for the reason fjorn said. My next truck will probably be a mid 2000's F250 anyways. I prefer my trucks already pre scratched up. I think nothing of tossing anything in the bed of my current truck.

If I were to buy a truck I would buy a deisel for the gas mileage and extra towing capacity. A couple friends of mine get 20+ hauling their sled trailers

Being a Honda guy myself I would not buy a Toyota. Never really liked them aesthetically either. And as for the recall, since this whole thing seems to be true for the most part, I would hate to own one and always have "that" on my mind. My 2009 Honda Ridgeline tows my motorcycle trailer very well, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

The guy in cali with the out of control Prius seems to be wearing a bit of egg on his face.. I am agnostic about manufacturers, personal preference has always been German anyway. The more I think about getting a full-size truck the less reasons I manage to come up with to own one. My WRX comes off it's lease in a few months and I need something I can get up my driveway with in the winter - a task my M certainly won't accomplish. I may sell the M3 anyway, the last time I drove it was last May Anyway, I just always found the Tundra the most appealing of the full size trucks. Like I said above I just can't figure out why I "need" one. And I do think that the recall is a crock of shit, sort of like when they about ruined Audi years ago with cars that supposedly accelerated on their own as well.

Every manufacturer goes through recall hell. Look at the domestics and the bad rap they were getting for a while.
Toyota has had major safety recalls in the past. In the mid 90's, they were hit hard with safety issues regarding their heavy duty axles not bering strong enough.

I was looking very seriously at a Camry SE. I drove one, along with the Altima, Accord, Kizashi, and Sonota. In the end it was between the Camry and the Sonata. I liked the handling of the Camry SE better, but the Sonata has more HP, gets better mileage, had some nice options the SE does not, and I was having a hard time finding an SE in the color and options I wanted. I bought the Sonata, and I'm very happy with it, but the Camry SE is a really nice car as well! http://www.autoblog.com/2010/02/22/2011 ... ta-review/
